The importance of safety

Chains and cords from curtains or blinds have been identified as a potential risk to small children.

Having a safety device is now a legal requirement even in homes without children.

What does that mean?

We are committed to adhering to the European 13120 standard as a minimum safety requirement. This means any blind you purchase through our website will be supplied with a child safety device, unless the blind has been manufacured inherently safe.

What else can I do?

In addition to installing the safety device there are other things you can do to keep your child safe

• Keep all cords and chains out of the reach of children using the safety hooks and cleats which have been supplied.
• Never tie loose cords or chains together forming a loop.
• Move furniture that children can climb on away from windows.
• Position beds and cots away from windows.
